Jerry Gerard

Jerald S Gerard was raised in Southeastern Idaho in the farming community of Terreton. He is the 5th of 6 children. Jerry served an LDS Mission to Independence, Missouri and attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, where he met Melanie. She is a native of Southern California. Jerry completed his undergraduate education at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. The family then moved to Southern California where Jerry attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Melanie taught elementary school there for 3 years.

For almost 30 years, Jerry made a career in the Commercial Real Estate industry while he and Melanie raised their 12 children. During those years he has spent considerable time working with families and their children. He has served with the youth in his Church congregations for over 25 years, including 8 years as a Bishop. He has coached little league baseball for 17 years and spent time watching and coaching his own kids while they participated in various activities including high school and college golf.

Jerry is the author of “Partners with God, Using His Teachings and Example to Raise Our Kids” and has been a guest speaker at numerous gatherings, firesides and organization events, as well as working as a facilitator for individual families.

Jerry and Melanie live in Mesa, Arizona and currently have 13 grandchildren.
